Director's Message

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahiwabarakatuh

Alhamdulillah, all praise is due to Allah SWT, praise and peace upon the Prophet Muhammad, his family and his companions.

First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude for visiting the official website of the UPM University Islamic Centre. Through the existence of this website, the process of dissemination of delivery is easier simultaneously ensure the important message was channeled to the community widely and effectively.

In the midst of the ongoing development of globalization and a borderless world, Mosque Institution & Islamic Centre is the critical control centre in the effort to build khayra ummah (a virtuous society). Whereas these two institutions must be developed and invested on to the fullest in order to become the true foundation for nation building.

The primary focus of the UPM University Islamic Centre is to establish the mosque as a safe zone for worship and to hold activities that build the ummah. It is my hope to optimize the mosque's function as a centre for the proliferation of knowledge, with the aim of fostering a living embodiment of Islam based on the Qur'an and Sunnah, as well as to develop the mosque as a congregation-friendly institution that promotes the concept of rahmah in the mosque environment. Therefore, the University Islamic Centre Committee will continue to strive to further diversify the mosque's programs and activities to maintain the relationship between the mosque and the community, and to ensure the mosque is in good and comfortable condition for Muslims to worship.

Therefore, to enable the tracking and fulfillment of these objectives, I have outlined several strategic plans to demonstrate that there is a collective effort to realize this agenda. These include strengthening strategic partnerships, improving mosque infrastructure facilities, and enhancing governance and aesthetics. The existence of these strategic plans will make it easier to translate them concretely into planned actions. This planning clearly reflects efforts toward realizing the transformation of the ummah, which seeks to enhance excellence. In line with this demand, implementation and improvement must be given special emphasis in the strategic plan.

As a final remark, I sincerely hope and pray that I will always be under His mercy and forgiveness in pursuing this aspiration I hold. Together, I work, think, and act resolutely to elevate Islam, Islamic organizations, and Islamic institutions toward nurturing individuals for the Shared Prosperity Vision 2030.
