We are nothing but earth.
Created from lowly dust, shaped with divine care, then given life through a soul blown by the Lord, the Most Exalted. Yet along the journey of life, we often forget this origin. We stand proudly, walk with arrogance, and speak as if the world belongs to us.
When in reality, we are beings completely dependent on His mercy.
We cannot control our own heartbeat, let alone determine our destiny.
So where does this arrogance come from?
Allah the Almighty says:
“He created man from clay that is dry, like pottery.”
(Surah Ar-Rahman, 55:14)
And in another verse:
“Then He formed him and breathed into him of His spirit; and He gave you hearing, sight, and hearts. Yet little are you grateful.”
(Surah As-Sajdah, 32:9)
These verses are not merely a record of creation — they are reminders that we are weak, and that our honour exists only because of the soul breathed into us by God. Without that soul, we are nothing but a body destined to return to the earth.
But humans often forget.
We feel superior because of knowledge, wealth, and power.
We reject advice, look down on others, and feel satisfied with worldly gains.
When in truth, real honour does not lie in what we possess,
but in how deeply we submit to the Creator.

So, humble yourself.
Not to be humiliated, but to be elevated.
For Allah does not look at appearance or status,
but at a heart that is pure and a soul that obeys.
We are merely earth —
but when we prostrate, we rise higher than the sky.
