Islam is a religion that cares and loves orphans. This is reflected through the qudwah hasanah (a good example) by His Majesty the Prophet SAW when he treats orphans with love and kindness.
This is because His Majesty, who once grew up as an orphan, understands the psychology and feelings that play in the minds of orphans. In the tradition of Islamic scholars, the debate related to orphans is one of the important debates that covers matters of manners, morals, muamalah, fiqh and others.
Furthermore, Muhammad bin Ismail bin Ibrahim bin al-Ju'fiy al-Bukhari or better known as Imam Bukhari (256H) also named a sub topic in his work 'al-Adab al-Mufrad' (Simply Manners) with the title ' كتاب الْكَرَم٠وَ يَتÙيمٌ' (Kitab al-Karami wa Yatimun ) which means 'Book about generous behavior and orphans.
In the sub-topic, Imam Bukhari has divided into 9 sub-headings that bring together the hadiths of being generous and being fatherly to orphans, loving, feeding and disciplining orphans and empowering orphans.
