Life is a journey full of joys, sorrows, bitter and sweet turns. Sometimes it is filled with peace and joy. Sometimes we are tested with hardships and challenges. The heart and mind are always struggling with many things. If we reflect more deeply, it is a real attempt for us, to steer our hearts and minds to always be in line with what Allah wants.
A restless heart is a heart that is not at peace. The mind thinks, whether about things that have passed or have not happened, whether problems, dilemmas or things that are not even problems but still bother you. It will never end.
And perhaps, because Allah knows that the human heart is always in a state of restlessness when trials and challenges come, that is why Allah reminds us that by remembering Him, the heart will become calm and at ease.
There is an interesting prayer that Tzkrh found from sharing on social media that deserves to be shared with all readers. After reviewing, this prayer is not a verse of the Quran or comes from any hadith, but the meaning contained in it is very beautiful and can be used as additional prayers.
(Allah's la tushghil 'wisdom is the source of life)
O Allah, don't let my mind be filled with things that make me anxious.
(And the one who says it is not right)
Don't let my heart be tied to people who don't feel compassion (care) for me .
(No time to use them)
And there is no need to waste time on someone who does not provide any benefit or goodness.
(May Allah not punish you for your shortcomings)
O Allah, do not withhold Your blessings from me because of my lack of gratitude.
(And the three plants of patience)
Don't let me lose patience because of the continuous difficulties (tests).
(Wa la tuhaasibni sprouts istighfaar)
Do not punish me for my lack of asking for forgiveness.
Life is not just about solving dilemmas and problems. Even in the effort to solve problems, we should not allow our hearts to continue to feel restless and affected by those problems.
We don't want our hearts and minds to be so busy solving problems that we don't have time to focus on what God really wants. We don't want to become slaves to the problems of life that will never end.
Hopefully by reading this prayer, we will become aware of how to control our hearts and minds in a better direction, be grateful for the small things and be patient with everything that God gives.
