“Seven (groups of) people whom Allah will shade on the Day of Resurrection, on a day when there is no shade except His shade:
a just leader,
a youth who grows up in the worship of Allah,
a person whose heart is attached to the mosque—when he leaves it, he longs to return to it,
two people who love one another for the sake of Allah; they meet for that reason and part for that reason,
a person who remembers Allah in solitude and his eyes overflow with tears,
a man whom a woman of high status and beauty invites (to an immoral act), yet he says: ‘I fear Allah.’
and a person who gives charity and conceals it so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has given.”
— Narrated by Al-Bukhari (6806)
This hadith is one of the most famous narrations describing special honours granted by Allah on the Day of Judgment — a day when there will be no shade except the shade Allah provides. Scholars explain that this “shade” refers either to Allah’s mercy or the shade of His Throne.

The Prophet ï·º mentioned seven groups who will receive this honour:
This refers to anyone placed in a position of authority — rulers, managers, teachers, heads of families — who rule with fairness, compassion, and integrity.
Scholars say justice is one of the hardest acts to maintain, which is why its reward is so high.
A youth who spends their early years obeying Allah is especially beloved, because this is the age where desires are strongest. To resist temptation and choose obedience is a sign of deep sincerity.
Not someone who merely visits the mosque, but someone whose heart longs to return. This means a person who loves prayer, community, and the house of Allah.
This love is not based on wealth, beauty, status, or benefits — but purely because both souls walk the path of faith together. Their bond is sincere, lasting from the dunya to the akhirah.
Scholars highlight that this situation represents a temptation where it is easy to fall, because:
she is attractive
she has status
she is the one inviting
Rejecting her out of fear of Allah shows a powerful level of taqwa.
This person hides their charity so well that even the left hand does not know what the right hand gives.
It symbolizes:
complete sincerity
no desire for praise
pure intention seeking only Allah
This is a tear that falls out of love, fear, longing, or repentance.
Ulama say:
“A tear shed in private can extinguish the fire of Hell.”
It is one of the sincerest forms of worship because it happens when no one is watching.
This hadith is not random. Scholars explain that these seven groups represent the full spectrum of sincere faith:
in leadership
in youth
in worship
in relationships
in resisting temptation
in charity
in private devotion
They show that the path to Allah is open to everyone — young or old, rich or poor, public or private.
